When you use Symposium, we may collect the following information:

• Email address (when you sign up or log in)
• Usage data (sessions created, messages sent, features used)
• API keys you provide for Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) features, stored encrypted

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Symposium service
• To authenticate your account and maintain your session
• To send transactional emails (login links, billing notifications)
• To enforce usage limits and manage your subscription

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to generate AI responses. Your messages are sent to these providers for processing.
• Stripe for payment processing. Stripe handles all payment data directly.
• Resend for transactional email delivery.
• PostHog (optional) for product analytics, if enabled by the operator.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Ephemeral (guest) sessions are automatically deleted after 7 days. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Export all your data in machine-readable format (JSON) via your account settings.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
• Access and review the data we hold about you.
